The first fruit of the spirit mentioned in the Bible is love. The Bible also says ‘God is love”.
The apostle Paul tells us that without love, we are nothing. The rest of our works are worthless without love. Love is the crux of the Christian faith. Without, our works are meaningless. Is it no wonder then, that love is the first fruit of the spirit mentioned.
Galatians 5:22 ‘The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control”
