Next Gathering: October 9th

Our next monthly gathering will be on Thursday, October 9^th, 7pm, at Park Community Church.

Here is a brief agenda for the evening so you know what to expect:

• We will begin by hearing brief updates from some of the initiative teams and have an open discussion about any new ideas/developments. Currently there is momentum around: The education gap in Cabrini, human trafficking in Chicago, extreme poverty, microfinance, prison ministry, and more…
• There is no limit to the initiatives and conversations we can start. Please feel free to come ready to suggest/begin something new. There will also be an “introduction to justice theology and practice” group for those new to the conversation.
• We will also hear from a member of our community about how this journey to and through the issues of justice is beginning to take shape for him and the “professional fellowship” that has begun to form as a result.
• Then we will use that energy to begin to discussing the role of vocation in justice ministry, next steps, new ideas, and clear actionable plans to move forward.
• Finally, we will continue the tradition of closing in group prayer and opening the room for fellowship – ending around 8:30.
