It was amazing to see such an outstanding turn-out Wednesday night for the very first meeting of The Just Life @ Park. This is certainly a community that desires to pursue lives of love and justice and I am excited to begin this journey at Park Community Church.

Now that we have a better sense of the people and the energy we are working with we can move forward with more clarity. What to expect:
Information is on the way about the upcoming “Let Justice Roll” conference featuring John Perkins on Sept. 20th.
We have immediate actions steps that need attention – The two tutoring programs starting are our most important connection with our local community. There truly is no better way to get involved in this journey than through building into under-resourced children and families. If Park is to be a community that reflects God’s heart for justice we have been called to start here. These programs need a lot of support:

A number of great ideas/issues have been coming in such as: Chicago child sex tourism and human trafficking, racial reconciliation, gender equity, Cabrini children and family, microfinance, prison ministry, ESL classes and cross-cultural community…What does the LORD require?
There is no limit to the initiatives and conversations we can start. Begin now, get your small-group involved, carry on the conversation, and join us next month in the pursuit of daily practical responses to God’s heart for justice.
